Meeting brought to order at 5:05pm, Las Vegas time.
Quorum met.
Attendees: Boris FX, RE:Vision Effects, Assimilate, Sony Creative Software.
First order of business: Re-appointment of directors (Gary, Pierre, Peter).
Remove Bruno as director. He's no longer involved as much.
Motion made, seconded, passed.
Peter to remove Bruno from the records.
Add Dennis as director.
Motion made, seconded, passed.
The Corporation will remain in the UK, despite "Brexit".
Second order of business: Accounting.
Accounts presented by Peter.
Gary paid for website in 2016 but hasn’t billed the Association yet.
We owe money to Tim Kinnel for website in 2016 but he hasn’t billed the Association yet.
We approved the accounts as written (shared by Peter ahead of AGM).
Peter has sent invoices for 2017 dues.
Some discussion of Boris FX, GenArts, Imagineer account; resolution was to bill to Boris FX and Gary will update the website to just show as one member, "Boris FX".
Discussion on whether members can pay dues online; Digital Anarchy would like to do that. The Association will look into it. (Nobody volunteered to take this on.)
Discussion of recruiting new members.
Dennis knows folks at MAGIX and will talk to them.
SGO has historically had some objections to joining; Peter to follow up.
Discussion of next version.
Pierre has been working on pushing the API forward, but hasn't had much help.
There is a first draft of some proposals.
Question: can we hire someone associated with Natron to put first draft of new features into the spec?
Pierre to discuss with Alex and Frederic at Natron/Inria, will come up with a ballpark figure and a rough spec of what we want.
Pierre brought up GPU OpenCL suite changes:
How can we move this forward?
Make one proposal from the various ones.
Could we get it into 1.4.1? (Seems aggressive.)
Resolve's suite is in the installer, Sony shared theirs.
